Located just a few hours away from Manila, Tagaytay makes for perfect quick weekend getaway for friends and families alike. It's no secret that rest houses and rentals are plentiful in the area, but the challenge with going to Tagaytay is finding that one place that's perfect for your group (i.e., one that you wouldn't want to or have to leave so much) especially if you're a bunch. You can check out this Airbnb that can accommodate big groups looking for a space to chill out, have some fun, and temporarily call your own: My Canopy Tagaytay.
What to expect from this Tagaytay Airbnb:
My Canopy Tagaytay is a six-bedroom villa that can accommodate up to 30 guests—Airbnb officially limits it to 16, but the host claims otherwise. It boasts a heated pool, an arcade, air-conditioned karaoke room, formal dining room, a living room with an entertainment system, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Rates start at P18,800 for a group of six; a little steep for an overnight hangout but when you consider all the facilities, you may start to think otherwise.
The four-foot-deep thermal pool is warmed to temperatures ranging from 30°C to 34°C. It's not exactly as warm as hot springs, but still pretty warm considering this is Tagaytay. There is also a three-foot kiddie pool, which is convertible to a hot tub upon request. Guests may lounge around the outdoor sunken deck with the view of the aquarium pool or have picnic tables set up in the garden area.
Aside from the pool, guests can also have fun with the various arcade machines, entertainment system, and karaoke. There's also a billiard table, a chess table, and even an automatic mahjong table ready for use. For those who can't (or won't) disconnect from the virtual world, fret not. The property is equipped with a WiFi connection and has a strong network connection with major providers.
For guests, who want to fully take advantage of the facilities instead of dining out in Tagaytay (because you know how traffic can be horrific there), there is a fully decked kitchen with all the latest appliances ready for your cooking needs. You can even ask the caretakers to help you purchase ingredients at the local market.
Parking also won't be an issue as the compound can accommodate up to six cars.
You could even bring one furbaby with you as long as it's housetrained for an additional fee of P600.
My Canopy by Cedara is at 36-C Tolentino East Road, Tagaytay, Cavite. Rates start at P18,800 per night for a group of six but may vary on specific dates. For more information, visit their Airbnb website.
