All the way back in 2006, Pinoy Big Brother launched its first-ever Teen Edition, giving young hopefuls from across the country a shot at being the next "Big Winner." Coming from all walks of life, kuya's pioneering set of teen housemates were put up to one challenging task after the other, all while growing up right before our eyes. To find out what some of them are up to today, keep reading.
Where the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Season 1 housemates are today:
1. Kim Chiu
Before she was crowned as the nation's "chinita princess," a 16-year-old Kim Chiu was declared as the reality show's first Teen Big Winner. The Cebuana's career only soared from there—she's been headlining a film or TV series almost every year, releasing her own songs, and even posing for different brand endorsements along the way. Presently, she's known as the "Queen of the Dance Floor" at her home network, ABS-CBN, where she also serves as a regular host on It's Showtime and the current seasons of PBB.

2. Gerald Anderson
Partnered up with Kim inside the house (and for a brief time outside of it) was Gerald Anderson. After finishing in third place, the debonair went on to star in his own projects, with Tayong Dalawa and Budoy being some of his most memorable shows. Outside of the entertainment industry, Gerald is also a basketball player and a budding entreprenuer.

3. Jamilla Obispo
Laguna-native Jamilla Obispo may have concluded her run on the show at 5th place, but she persevered to find her own success afterwards. Inside the house, she was known as a single mom whose son was born with a cleft palate. Her story caught the attention of many, including Operation Smile, who funded her child's surgery. Today, Jamilla is making a name for herself as a sexy star, appearing in flicks such as Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak and Sisters Forever.
4. Fred Payawan
One of Gerald's buddies inside and outside of the house was 17-year-old Fred Payawan. Many remember him for his chiseled physique and boy-next-door charm, two things he exhibited in small roles under ABS-CBN. Behind the camera, he continues to work for the media outlet as an accounts executive.
5. Matt Evans
Another lad who dove into show biz after his run on the show was Matt Evans. Just a few months after things wrapped up, he played the titular role in Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko, teamed up with fellow teen actor Melissa Ricks. One of his latest projects was 2019's A Soldier's Heart, where he co-starred with PBB housemate Gerald.
6. Joaqui Mendoza
Upon entering the famed yellow house, Joaqui Mendoza was already a skilled Taekwondo black belter. His departure from the series saw him continuing his athletic career, while also diving into the world of politics. During the recently concluded national elections, he ran for a councilor position in Paranaque.
7. Niña Jose
Post-PBB, Niña Jose also dipped her toes into the entertainment scene before eventually retiring in 2015. You might recall her characters in My Girl, Lipgloss, and Valiente. She's also another housemate to have entered politics, having just won the mayoral post in the town of Bayambang in Pangasinan.
8. Bam Romana
If the thought crossed your mind, yes, Bam is siblings with veteran actress Dimples Romana! Sadly, his PBB stint was cut short after he exceeded the number of allowable violations. Even if that may be the case, he's still enjoying a career today in the medical field.
