Any Filipino who travels internationally knows just how powerful the Philippine passport is. That is, not powerful enough especially for frequent travelers. And now, we’ve dropped a few rungs lower on the Henley Passport Index in 2025. The annual global passport ranking assesses 199 different passports, ranking them based on the number of destinations their holders can visit visa-free. This year, the Philippine passport is ranked 75th, down from last year’s 73rd.

Filipinos Have the 75th Most Powerful Passport in the World

Philippine passport holders can currently travel visa-free, with visa-on-arrival, or through electronic travel authorization to 67 destinations worldwide, placing the Philippines at 75th on the Henley Passport Index. If you’re wondering why our passport has dipped in the rankings, then note that Filipinos enjoyed visa-free access to 69 destinations last year. Armenia and Togo, which previously granted visa-on-arrival privileges to Filipinos, now require visas for entry, contributing to our country’s downward shift in the global ranking.
