4 PH Islands Make It to Conde Nast US's Readers' Choice Awards

Before you finalize all your travel plans for 2025, consider adding these four Philippine islands to your list. Conde Nast Traveler, a UK- and US-based publication known for featuring the very best in global luxury travel, recently released the results of the 2024 Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards and four Philippine destinations are included in the World's Best Islands category.

For the 27th run of Conde Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards, Boracay, Palawan, Cebu, and Siargao Islands were among the top 10 in the Best Islands in Asia category. 

Boracay ranked third, garnering a score of 91.94; Palawan ranked sixth, with a score of 90.68; followed by "Cebu & the Visayan Islands," in eighth place with 90.29; and Siargao, with 89.2 in tenth. 

Here are the top 10 Best Islands in Asia according to the Conde Nast Readers' Choice Awards 2024:

1. Koh Samui, Thailand (93.54)
2. Langkawi, Malaysia (92.14)
3. Boracay, Philippines (91.94)
4. Sri Lanka (91.28)
5. Phu Quoc, Vietnam (91.01)
6. Palawan, Philippines (90.68)
7. Phuket Thailand (90.44)
8. Cebu & Visayan Islands, Philippines (90.29)
9. Bali, Indonesia (90.15)
10. Siargao, Philippines (89.2)

These scores resulted from tabulating over 575,000 responses to a secure online survey conducted from April 1 to June 30, 2024, for Conde Nast Traveler's US audience (including Hawaii and Alaska). The survey included a list of candidates in various categories like cities, hotels, spas, resorts, and many more. Each of these candidates must then receive a minimum number of responses and a minimum rating to be eligible for a Readers' Choice Award based on a set of criteria relevant to their category.  Rankings are then computed by averaging scores on these categories using a standard five-point scale (excellent, very good, good, fair, and poor) converted to a percentage.

In addition to islands, the Conde Nast Readers' Choice Awards also covers other categories in luxury travel, such as the best countries, spas, resorts, trains, hotels, cruise lines, airlines and airports, and luggage.
