Where most wedding videos take on a frothy and dreamy aesthetic, Paradox Films caters to brides who don’t exactly fit into the Cinderella story mold. First established in 2016, the videography team prides itself for its often dark and dramatic visuals, offering offbeat couples with “another taste in wedding videos.”
Most important for Paradox is accurately telling their couple’s journey towards the altar. “We love telling stories. We are very keen on details. We want our videos to show every detail about our couples’ story,” they tell Preview. “We get to know them by asking them relevant questions.”
Perhaps the company demonstrates this best in their wedding video for Charlotte Villarin and Maku Cordova, a.k.a. the moving film that had gone viral last year after Charlotte’s ill father bravely walked her down the aisle on a stretcher. As of writing, the video currently has 350,000 views and has been shared almost 3ooo times.
The above-mentioned is a gripping short that not only captured the bride and groom’s love but also a father’s dedication to her daughter as well. Paradox managed to tell their story with as much of the dignity, dramatics, and romance that the couple’s special day deserved. Not a bad way to always remember your nuptials by.
Promising to go the extra mile for their clients, Paradox only asks for one thing in return to assure a smooth and fruitful partnership: a vote of confidence. “Trust your photographers and videographers and be friends with them. Let them know if you're comfortable with what they are asking you to do,” they explained.
