No train might be more synonymous with luxury than the Orient Express. Since its start in the late 19th century, the famous sleeper train has made its cameos from films to the glamorous lives of big-wigs and blue-bloods. Centuries later, the Orient Express’ grandeur is still running on Europe’s train tracks—and visitors can book a ride, too.
In an exclusive interview with Preview, newlywed and August 2023 cover girl Maja Salvador revealed that this was the honeymoon trip currently on their cards. “[It’s] something new for the both of us,” she said, stating that this was one of her husband Rambo Nuñez’s dream experiences.

What Is the Orient Express?
Dubbed the “king of trains” and “the train of kings,” the Orient Express, which started in 1883, is arguably one of the most famous train rides in the world. The luxury express train’s guests ranged from royalty to Hollywood actors, who have boarded its original route between Paris and Istanbul. The train also gained its status in pop culture as the setting of Agatha Christie’s best-selling novel Murder on the Orient Express, as well as in the James Bond film To Russia with Love.
