“It was so special, and everyone was so great,” she said.

It’s been a few weeks since Olivia Rodrigo held her Guts Tour at the Philippine Arena last October 5, and Filipino Livies are still reeling from her performance. Olivia, who is half-Filipina, arrived in the country on October 3 with her boyfriend Louis Partridge, marking her first-ever visit to the Philippines. Despite it being her debut on Filipino soil, fans went all out to make her stay in Manila an unforgettable experience—and it looks like Olivia had the best time!

In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, the Filipino-American singer only had positive things to say about her experience performing in Manila. “It was so special, and everyone was so great,” she said.
She then went on to praise the crowd’s singing prowess, saying, “There’s a rumor that they’re really good at karaoke. Everyone in the arena—they were, like, singing in harmony. It was insane. They were singing my lyrics back to me. Perfectly on pitch. Perfectly on cue.”

She also talked about all the food she enjoyed and couldn’t contain her excitement. “Oh, so much good food. Filipino food is incredible,” she told Jimmy Fallon, raving about how her visit to Manila was a true taste of Filipino culture.

Olivia Rodrigo's Guts Tour Concert in Manila

Olivia’s Philippine leg of the Guts World Tour was part of her global initiative to support pro-women advocacies. In fact, she purposely priced the concert tickets only P1,500 to make her performance more accessible to fans. Naturally, the Philippine Arena was packed, with all 55,000 seats being sold-out.

Shortly after her performance, she announced on Instagram that she would be donating all net profits from the concert to Jhpiego, a non-profit organization supporting women’s health in the Philippines. “I got to visit the organization while I was in Manila and was so impressed by the work they are doing providing healthcare to women and girls in the Philippines. It was the most special show and the most meaningful trip. To say I’m grateful doesn’t even cut it! Mahal kita,” she wrote.
