Among South Korean actors, Lee Min Ho is no doubt one of the most recognizable not only in his home country but also here in the Philippines. Starring in some of the most iconic and popular K-dramas such as Boys Over Flowers and The King: Eternal Monarch, the Hallyu heartthrob has won the hearts of millions of viewers with his acting skills and even more so with his good looks.
That being said, his most recent public appearance certainly created some buzz due to a notable transformation.

Following a long hiatus, Lee Min Ho was recently spotted at an event in Thailand, and netizens couldn’t help but point out a slight change in his appearance.
Wearing a dazzling all-white suit paired with his charming smile, the K-actor had seemingly gained a bit of weight, to his fans' suprise. His cheeks were noticeably rounder, and his jaw softer.
Koreans are usually known for their tendency to criticize when K-idols and actors gaining weight, but it seems that fans nowadays have developed a more progressive mindset, with most of them just wanting to see their idols healthy both physically and mentally. While Lee Min Ho wasn’t 100% exempt from negative comments, his fans did come to his defense and even praised his transformation, saying that he still looks handsome and all that really matters is that he’s happy—and we totally agree!
"He is perfect. He looks great and [is] super sexy. I don't understand the obsession with weight," one user wrote. "He looks happy tho," another chimed in.
Several Korean idols, actors, and actresses have been lost to depression due to the immense pressures of the entertainment industry, including attacks on their appearances. With more fans becoming more supportive and having a progressive view on beauty standards, it's a great sign for the Hallyu industry.
