ICYDK, getting into the Met Gala is not as simple as one might think. Not only does a single ticket to the event cost $50,000 or approximately P2.7 million, it's also a strictly invite-only event with quite a long waiting list. So even if you do have the money to splurge, only those deemed worthy by Anna Wintour can make it to the Met Gala carpet.
Some of the notable personas in this year’s star-studded guest list were Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, and Doja Cat. Hallyu star Song Hye Kyo and BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim also made their Met Gala debut. But among these A-listers was an unexpected guest—a cockroach. Yes, you read that right.
LOOK: A Cockroach Steals the Spotlight at the Met Gala
Below is a video that captured the moment when the unlikely guest was seen making its way up the stairs of the Met. If you listen to the audio, you can hear the amusement of the crowd as they watched the cockroach make its ascent. Someone can even be heard screaming, “Get a photo!” And true enough, the insect seemed to have received the same celebrity treatment as the other attendees.

The guy in the video putting in the effort to take a picture of the cockroach is actually the esteemed celebrity photographer Kevin Mazur. Cheering and wooing erupted from the audience as he successfully took photographs of the insect. Here he is proudly posing with the photo he took of the roach.
