Three months after giving birth to baby Cash, Neri Miranda says she has started her fitness journey to get back to her pre-preggy shape. The actress-slash-successful mompreneur shared updates about her postpartum weight loss journey on her latest Instagram post. She also gave an important reminder to other new moms working on achieving their fitness goals.

The mom of two first shared her progress, saying that so far, she has lost 12 kilos since giving birth last October 2021. From 73 kilos in October, she weighed 69 kilos in December and 61 kilos this January 2022. Neri's goal is to achieve a weight of 55 kilos. "Dahil no carbs at sweets ako muna to achieve my goal (55 kilos 5'6" height ko ), 61 kilos ako now," she shared.

Losing 12 kilos in three months after giving birth is definitely a feat. However, new moms must take things slowly if they are embarking on a weight loss journey since their bodies are still recovering from childbirth. Neri agrees with this and reminds moms to take their fitness journey slowly but steadily and safely. She recalled an instance where she experienced bleeding after doing a more rigorous exercise.

"Pero syempre, need ko pa rin ng disiplina. Dahan dahan lang. Kase two weeks ago, nag-try akong mag-exercise, more on stretching tapos may planking, ayun, dinugo ako," Neri shared. She adds, "kaya sa lahat ng mga bagong panganak, 'wag biglain lalo na kapag CS (Cesarean delivery). Wag madaliin." Neri admits this bleeding concerned and scared her but assured her followers she is doing well.

Neri is still determined to lose six more kilos to achieve her fitness goal, but for now, she's taking things slow. In her photo, she's seen taking a walk with her husband, Chito Miranda, for her exercise.

As for her diet, Neri avoids carbohydrates and sugary food and drinks. She admits having this type of diet is a challenge for her. She also has meal plans to make sure she's on track with her goals. She tells her followers, "Kung tatanungin nyo ako kung mahirap ba yung no carbs at sweets, aba oo! Pero kung desidido kang bumalik ang dati mong timbang, magtiis ka! Idaan na lang sa tubig at prutas." She even quipped, "Kung pwede lang magdonate ng taba tapos parang drive thru lang, di ba?."

While having a fitness goal is not bad after giving birth, recovery and healing after going through a c-section must remain a priority.
