One of the most anticipated movies of this year is Uninvited whose early hype was bolstered by its powerhouse leads, Vilma Santos, Aga Muhlach, and Nadine Lustre. Last October 8, it grabbed the attention of netizens yet again after the teaser for Nadine’s character, Nicole, dropped on YouTube.
It opens with the award-winning actress going toe to toe with her father, played by Aga. She mockingly spews a slew of curse words at him, setting the tone for the rest of her role. From the teaser alone, it looks like Nadine’s set to play a fierce, money-hungry heiress with a surreptitious agenda against her dad.

Suffice to say, viewers are absolutely living for this badass side of Nadine. "Nadine Lustre malditang bitchesang mayaman role finally!!" one user wrote. Another viewer called it her "favorite role" of the actress even though the movie hasn't come out yet. Then again, if a short teaser has already left us on the edge of our seats, we can only imagine just how impressive she is in the full film.

What to expect from Dan Villegas’s Movie “Uninvited”
Uninvited is one of 10 entries for the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival. It’s brought together three of the top creatives in Philippine cinema today, namely Antoinette Jadaone as Producer, Irene Villamor as Creative Producer, and Dan Villegas as Director. Uninvited also marks the latter’s comeback project after helming Hintayan ng Langit six years ago.
In an interview with the media, one of its producers, Bryan Dy, admitted that casting the film came with a hefty price tag that was well worth it for the enjoyment of fans. Aside from Vilma, Nadine, and Aga, the rest of the project features a star-studded lineup that includes Mylene Dizon, Lotlot De Leon, Tirso Cruz III, RK Bagatsing, Elijah Canlas, and Gabby Padilla, along with Ketchup Eusebio, Cholo Barretto, Gio Alvarez, and Ron Angeles.
An official synopsis has yet to be released for Uninvited, but the teaser videos so far evoke a chilling and mysterious air fraught with juicy family drama. It seems to be mainly set in a grandiose mansion during the birthday party of Aga’s character, a lavish billionaire with a dark secret.
Uninvited will be released in cinemas nationwide on December 25, 2024 with the rest of the MMFF entries.
