The first part of Money Heist Season 5 is already out. We're getting closer and closer to the end of the heist. If you're one of the many people who straight-up binge watched all five episodes straight away and is reeling from that, we have something that might make you feel a little better: A behind-the-scenes documentary dropped on Netflix at the same time as Season 5 Part 1!
What happens in the Money Heist: From Tokyo to Berlin docuseries?
Entitled Money Heist: From Tokyo to Berlin, this gives a peek at how the season of the Spanish series was made. As of writing, there's only one episode available, with 52 minutes worth of behind-the-scenes goodness. The episode dives into how the filmmakers created the first part of the last season, with even creator Alex Pina showing up.The gang is included too, with bits of Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó), The Professor (Álvaro Morte), Lisbon (Itziar Ituño), and Berlin (Pedro Alonso)—which means you best prepare to cry all over again.
Note that the docu-episode carries a whole lot of spoilers for the last season. Netflix will warn you too, but best to be extra safe.
You might remember that the creators planned out Season 5 to have two parts. The first half will deal have the gang "in an extremely aggressive genre"—which we already got. The second volume of Season 5 will be more on the emotional side of the story. "It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure," said the creator earlier on. And with the second half dropping on December 3, we're hoping to get another BTS look too.
