Anne Jakrajutatip, co-owner of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), is under scrutiny once more following the emergence of a leaked video wherein she purportedly referred to the pageant's inclusivity efforts as merely a "communication strategy."
Miss Universe Owner Anne Jakrajutatip's Leaked Video on "Communication Strategy"
The clip, initially shared by @missuupdates on TikTok, captures Anne Jakrajutatip during what seems to be a business meeting with fellow executives, discussing the eligibility of candidates such as "trans women, women with husbands, divorced women, and those exceeding the age limit" to participate.
In the leaked footage, she is heard stating, "Now that we changed the age limit, they can compete and come back again. This is a [communication strategy] because you understand that they can compete but they cannot win."
She further remarks that recent initiatives by Miss Universe to promote "social inclusion" are simply a "policy out there" intended to foster a sense of belonging among aspirants.

Netizens Call Out Miss Universe for Being "Rigged" Amid Leaked Video
The video has sparked outrage across social media platforms, with many condemning the organization for what they perceive as disingenuous efforts to champion women empowerment. Critics argue that the revelation casts doubt on the integrity of the renowned pageant.
Nepali beauty queen and model Jane Garrett, who represented Nepal in the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, took to her Instagram Story to react to the leaked video.

Sharing a quote card featuring Anne Jakrajutatip's alleged comments, the former contestant disclosed her skepticism about the fairness of the pageant, asserting, "Honey, I knew it was rigged from the moment I was onstage. I realized us 'inclusion' girls weren't ever gonna get a real chance to win."
Despite her reservations, Jane also expressed gratitude for the platform afforded to her through the pageant experience. "But it is what it is and I'm super happy for my experience there and the platform I've been able to create," she said.
In response to the controversy, neither Anne Jakrajutatip nor the Miss Universe Organization has issued a formal statement addressing the leaked video. However, the organization previously defended Anne, emphasizing her commitment to transparency and integrity. This development comes on the heels of ex-MUO president Paula Shugart's announcement of impending legal action against the Miss Universe owner.
