It's officially been a full month since Michelle Dee's Miss Universe 2023 journey concluded. While the beauty queen dealt with countless challenges and innumerable bashers throughout the competition, she has felt nothing but gratitude for her fans and loved ones.
"I felt a tremendous support of love from my support system, of course. I also had a core support group," she revealed in a recent vlog on Dr. Vicki Belo's YouTube channel. "They inspire me every day, even though I was dubbed as one of the most bashed Miss Universe Philippines after winning."
Probed about the bashers further, Michelle explained that she's never been the type to get insecure over rude comments and harsh criticism. "I can't even count the amount of adjectives [that bashers have] thrown at me. But of course, I'm one to really not care about bashers [and] to negativity," she said.

She again emphasized the importance of having a support system to drown out negativity: "I would read it and not be affected because I have learned to only listen to people that matter. Your core group, the people that you know only have your best interest at heart."
"Marami kasing tao that just throw their opinion for the sake of making you look bad so that their favorite person looks good," she concluded. How well-said!
Despite Michelle's immunity to haters, however, she still knows how to listen to constructive comments. For example, she acknowledges that she could have improved her wit at the Q&A portion of Miss Universe Philippines 2022.
"To be quite honest, during Miss Universe Philippines 2022, I think I was a bit too overconfident with my communication skills. It's that frustration knowing that I left one very important aspect of [the] competition. In hindsight, I didn't really focus on it that much," she said.
"What I fail to do is master the art of getting my thought across in 30 seconds," she admitted, recounting the incident as a valuable learning experience. "It was [a blessing in disguise]. When I joined again, every single aspect, I will micromanage and perfect and train ten times harder."
We're proud of how far you've come, Michelle!
