The Getty Museum is known for its extensive collection of European art, illuminated manuscripts, and photography, and has now added Mark’s works to its hallowed halls. Among the photographs acquired are stunning portraits from 2008, featuring notable figures such as actress Iza Calzado, multimedia personality KC Concepcion, model and designer Jo Ann Bitagcol, journalist and gender equality advocate Queen Melo, and Nancy Castiglione.

KC took to Instagram to share her pride in her long-time friend and collaborator. “LA has this undeniable way of pulling me back, and this moment is one of those times,” she wrote. “I’ve always known Mark Nicdao was destined for greatness, but where he is now is all him: raw talent, vision, relentless hard work, and the mind (and heart!) of a genius.”
