Maris Racal stunned viewers with her daring portrayal of Gab Rivera in a recent episode of Incognito. A scene that's been praised by her celebrity peers and fans alike featured the actress bravely coursing through the sub-zero climate of Baguio in nothing but a set of lingerie.
Maris, however, attests that the sequence was difficult to pull off. In a recent interview, she talked about the intricacies of the scene, highlighting how it boosted her confidence regarding her body.

The actress states that the risque scene was actually the first one they shot upon arriving at their set in Baguio. “Super lamig. Nanginginig lang ako the whole time," she shared.
"So, nabasa ko yung script. Panty at bra, tatakbo. Sabi ko talaga, ‘Hello, bukas na ba ito kukunan?'" she recalls. The production team advised that she could opt to wear cycling shorts instead, but Maris gamely took on the challenge. "Itodo natin to! Game ako!" she told the team.

With her persecutors tailing behind her, Maris sprinted through the fog with finesse. While it may seem effortless on screen, she points out how conscious she was about being seen in that manner.
"There’s a little bit of insecurity ‘cause it was going to be my first time. They might think na hindi naman siya astig, hindi bagay. But nagulat ako sa reviews, sa mga comments, na gusto nila yung character ko doon," she expressed in relief.
Maris went on, adding how empowered she felt pulling off the scene. "I just felt powerful," she said. "Wearing that didn’t faze me. Very comfortable [ako] with my whole body, tumakbo lang, no one was watching. It encourages you to be confident with your body."

A mere few days after Gab Rivera's scene went viral, Maris flew to Berlin for an international screening of her film Sunshine. Audiences can count on seeing another side of Maris in the movie, as she plays a gymnast embattled with an unplanned pregnancy. Local screenings of Sunshine are in the works as of the time of writing.
