It's been a while since we last heard from Maine Mendoza, but the latest news about her couldn't be more encouraging. The star, who celebrated her 23rd birthday last month, wants a deeper look at the regular people she comes across with every day as part of Eat Bulaga's "Juan For All" segment, through the Humans of Barangay project. Inspired by Brandon Stanton's street blog Humans of New York, its goal is to "inspire more people through stories of others."
"Since I get to meet people in different walks of life, I was deeply inspired by how they manage to survive and be thankful even with the smallest things that they have," part of Maine's announcement read.
As of writing, the Facebook page already has 8,339 likes and countless words of approval on Twitter using the hashtag #HumansOfBarangay. If anything, it's proof that everything Maine touches turns into gold. Fans are understandably excited with her latest good deed.
Among her first entries are about her co-hosts Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, and Jose Manalo, who imparted wisdom on career, sexuality, and decision-making, respectively. "I am taking the chance that the universe gave me to help others and spread awareness of what the real world is. One photo, one story at a time," Maine ended.
