It was wedding season last week, as two big celebrities tied the knot! One of them was Maine Mendoza, who needs no introduction. In a private wedding, Maine married Arjo Atayde, whom she met while shooting a movie.
One of the details that managed to be revealed online were the traditional gifts given by the newlyweds. Maine, now Mrs. Atayde, got a stunning Mini Kelly handbag from the renowned luxury house Hermès.
Arjo, on the other hand, received a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser. A photo in a Twitter fan account shows the groom beside a big white SUV with a bowtie. Even in the grainy photo, his new-car smile is as bright as day!
In the vehicle scene, the scarcity of the LC300 model is almost legendary. Waiting lists for the 2023 Land Cruiser can stretch up to a year, although it is said that supply might ease to six months soon, according to Topgear.com.ph.
Based on the grille design and that color, Maine purchased the more expensive ZX trim, which lists for P5,747,000. The Land Cruiser is powered by a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that generates 302hp and an earth-moving 700Nm of torque. It’s also a seven-seater, and perfectly versatile for whatever terrain.
