The K-drama Love Next Door already boasts a hefty lineup with leads Jung Hae In and Jung So Min alone, but the star-studded casting sheet doesn’t stop there.
The series—which revolves around the budding love story of childhood friends Choi Seung-hyo and Bae Seok-ryu—is packed with drama regulars who are bound to be familiar with Hallyu stans. Celebrity Cameos in “Love Next Door”
Lee Bong Ryeon
Right off the series’ bat, K-drama regulars are treated to a familiar face beside lead actor Jung Hae In. In episode one, Lee Bong Ryun fills the role of a funeral home manager named Im Kyung-ran, who Hae In’s Choi Seung-hyo converses with. The actress was last seen in hit dramas including Sweet Home, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Destined with You, and Crash Course in Romance.
In fact, Bong Ryeon’s involvement in the show is linked to her previous filmography, given that Love Next Door is helmed by the Crash Course in Romance director Yoo Je Won and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha writer Shin Ha Eun.
Roh Yoon Seo
While her appearance may be brief, Roh Yoon Seo was a surprise for eagle-eyed drama fans. In Love Next Door’s first episode, the actress makes her cameo as herself, a famous figure who personally knows Seung-hyo in-universe.
Much like Lee Bong Ryeon, Roh Yoon Seo credits her quick appearance in the series to her connection with the series’ director, whom she previously worked with on Crash Course in Romance.
Seo Ji Hye
As the production team teased, one actress went beyond the “ordinary cameo.” Crash Landing on You fans got to see Seo Ji Hye back on screen for episodes five to eight and 12, this time as Jang Tae-hui, the ex-girlfriend of Hae-in’s Seung-hyo. This isn’t the first time the two shared screentime as well, as back in 2016, the actors both starred in the big family comedy series Yeah, That’s How It Is.

Aside from the cameos, Love Next Door is also a casting trove for the most devout drama viewers. Jung Hae In and Jung So Min star as the swoon-inducing childhood-best-friends-turned-potential-lovers, while the cast is peppered with familiar faces all throughout the show’s run. Rounding out the main cast are Kim Ji Eun (Strangers from Hell, The Veil) and Yun Ji On (My Lovely Liar, Tomorrow, Jirisan).
