The coming-of-rage flick stars Kathryn Newton as misunderstood teenager Lisa Swallows who encounters a reborn corpse played by Cole Sprouse. Of course, portraying Kathyrn's fictional stepsister Taffy in the movie is our very own Liza Soberano.

The film had its official Hollywood premiere yesterday, February 6. Those who've gotten to preview the film had only the best things to say about Liza, with some claiming that she's the breakout star to watch out for!
Ahead, see what the internet has to say about Taffy Swallows played by Liza Soberano.
The Internet Reacts to Liza Soberano's Performance in "Lisa Frankenstein"
The movie garnered generally positive reviews from netizens, with many adoring its comedic approach to a gothic romance set in the kitschy '80s. In particular, many were applauding Liza's "star-making" performance.

While foreign audience members may not have been acquainted with the actress' work prior, they were converted into immediate fans after seeing her as Taffy. Courtney Howard, a member of the Critics Choice and LA Film Critics bodies, wrote: "She's who everyone will be talking about, and with good reason too." Other users backed this up, clamoring to see more of her on the big screen.

One review that made rounds was that of Joe Russo, a writer and director who's worked with the likes of Bruce Willis and Zac Efron. "[Director] Zelda Williams and [screenwriter] Diablo Cody found a superstar in Liza Soberano," he stated in an X post. Fingers crossed for Liza to make more silver screen appearances in Tinseltown!

Not bad for someone's first time in a Hollywood project! We're so proud of you, Liza!
