In the modern world, having a college degree is only one of many paths toward success. Formal education is great, but it’s surely not the be-all and end-all of achieving your life goals—take, for instance, the long list of stars who made it big despite not finishing school.
If you’re a longtime follower of fashion influencer and business maven Kim Jones, then you probably have stumbled upon her broadcast channel. She’s pretty active at it, giving her fans a sneak peek ‘of her hobbies and daily life
She recently held a Q&A sesh, too, answering random queries from her fans. One follower asked her about her course in university, and whether she finished it or not. To which, Kim’s answer highlighted what made her opt for leaving conventional educational standards in the dust.
“I dropped out,” she confessed. “I like to learn at my own pace and without limits. I studied architecture because I like the scale, permanence, and utility of it. But the Gemini rising in me said a hard no to curriculums.”
Despite not finishing school, Kim seems to invest much of her time in learning by her own, as evidenced by her answer to another question. Asked about her interest on self-help and inspirational books, she said: “I think all books are self-helping. I don’t follow a specific genre so I can get as much variety as possible. I always come out the other side a little changed. I like immersing myself in worlds (in film or in lit) of characters because I find myself in all of them, especially the unhinged ones. They really speak to me.”
