Da Mi was confirmed to lead the coming-of-age film Hello, My Soulmate back in 2020. A remake of the Chinese film titled Soulmate, it follows the 14-year friendship of two girls who first meet at 13. As they grow up with each other, they navigate through the turbulent years of their relationship, dealing with feelings of “love, respect, and jealousy” along the way. Starring opposite Da Mi is When My Love Blooms actress Jeon So Nee.

Da Mi entered the TV scene with a bang with Itaewon Class, her first foray into the small screen and now her most popular project to date. The critically acclaimed drama follows the calm but driven Park Saeroyi who ends up in jail after violently reacting to the tragic and calculated death of his father. Years later, he's released from his sentence and vows to establish the best pub in Itaewon to best Jangga Co. and Jang Da Hee, the man responsible for ruining his life.
Da Mi plays Jo Yi-seo in the series, a feisty student who uses her social media know-how to help promote Saeroyi’s pub. A callous yet brilliant girl, she ends up becoming DanBam’s manager while navigating her growing affection for Saeroyi. Da Mi received multiple nominations for her performance, including a win as Best New TV Actress at the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards.

Da Mi followed up Itaewon Class with yet another Netflix-streamed show. Our Beloved Summer chronicles the complex relationship between Choi Woong and Gook Yeon-soo. Once high school classmates and past lovers, they eventually parted ways following a bitter breakup. Later on in their lives, they’re forced to reunite after a viral documentary they filmed 10 years ago lands in the hands of a producer who wants to do a sequel to it. Complications arise and past feelings resurface as they re-shoot the film and meet new people who could potentially get in the way of their sudden reunion.
Da Mi takes the lead in the series as Gook Yeon-soo, a book-smart girl who was always at the top of her class in high school. Her true abilities are tested when she starts working and is faced with the harsh realities of living as an adult. Our Beloved Summer marks Da Mi’s reunion project with her co-star and leading man Choi Woo Shik after the two appeared together in The Witch Part 1. The Subversion.
