Kaye Abad indulges in an unfiltered dialogue with Boy Abunda for a recent episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, aired on April 12, 2024.
When asked whether she still faces insecurities about herself after years spent in the limelight, Kaye did not hesitate in responding, "Yes, palagi. Ewan ko Tito Boy, insecure ako."
Kaye Abad on Her Insecurities with Her Looks
The actress laughs, admitting, "Sa height ko, na sabi ko nga magpapa-chiro[practor] ako baka tumaas-taas pa ako kahit one inch lang. Magpapa-stretch lang ako nang konti."
She candidly adds: "Sa itsura ko, yes. I would look at my face in the mirror... hindi ako pangit. Hindi ako napapangitan sa sarili ko, pero hindi ako nagagandahan... hindi ako yung talagang maganda."
Kaye Abad on Being Compared to Iza Calzado
Trying to grasp what beautiful looks like for Kaye, Boy asks: "If you were to look like someone, who comes to mind first?" Again, without pause, Kaye confidently responds, "Iza Calzado."
Kaye reveals that she had been compared to the original Sang'gre in the past by DJ Mo Twister."Sinabi nga ni Mo Twister yun e, na ako raw ang ugly version ni Iza Calzado," she says.
"At sinabi ko kay Iza Calzado yun, at tatanggapin ko yun. At least ugly version."
