Kathryn Bernardo may be known as A Very Good Girl in film, but her kindness shines just as bright behind the scenes. A recent anecdote by her colleague testified this, which revealed that the box office-hit actress helped a co-star complete their schooling.

During Kathryn’s recent contract renewal signing with Star Magic, Goin’ Bulilit show director Edgar Mortiz sent his congratulatory message, and praised Kathryn’s good deed to a co-star. The actress appeared in the children’s sketch comedy show from 2005 to 2008 as part of its first batch.
According to the director, Kathryn had pitched in for her co-star’s educational fees, in light of the death of her unnamed cast member’s father.

The 27-year-old actress hinted about the closeness of her relationship with her castmate, who had halted their showbiz career because of the tragedy.
“Naging kaibigan namin ni Mama [’yung dad niya]. Sabay [kaming] kakain and then for a time nag-stop [siya] mag-artista, and naka-receive kami ng message from the mom na ito ’yung nangyari sa dad,” she explained.
Because of this, Kathryn endeavored to fulfill the wishes of her co-star’s deceased father. “Bilang nakasama mo, siyempre tutulong ka hangga’t kaya mo,” she said.
