Titled "Hello, Love, Again" the movie is slated for release on November 13 in the Philippines and is scheduled for international releases as well. Reprising their roles as Joy and Ethan, Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards are once again teaming up for a romantic film directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana. According to Deadline, the film will be set in Canada five years after the original. After parting ways in Hong Kong, the pair meet up again in Canada after a global shutdown and realize they have also changed a lot individually.

The original "Hello, Love, Goodbye" was released in 2019 and became the highest grossing Filipino film until it was surpassed by "Rewind" in January 2024. Netizens first speculated about the sequel when Cathy Garcia-Sampana posted a video of herself at the Hong Kong International Airport. She captioned her post with a very mysterious, "Nostalgic...hihi."
