After seven riveting months, ABS-CBN teleserye Can't Buy Me Love nears its series finale. One of the central mysteries of the show was the culprit behind the murder of Caroline Tiu's (Belle Mariano) mother, Divine. In episode 147 of the show, secrets were finally unraveled, revealing achi Bettina Tiu (Kaila Estrada) as the killer and ultimate mastermind.
Such a revelation unfolded in a highly emotional exchange between the Tius. Following her stellar performance on Linlang, Kaila once again delivered with her acting and had netizens raving about her performance.

In the now-viral scene, Bettina tearfully confronts her family and their shortcomings towards her. "I'm not strong. But I tried to be because I had to! I had no one else," she exclaimed in frustration. The sequence ended with achi being taken away after being shot in the knee.
Netizens React to Kaila's Estrada's Performance
Viewers were in awe of the raw emotion Kaila displayed to pull off the scene. "Anak ka nga talaga ni Janice [de Belen] at John [Estrada]," one netizen wrote. Another stated how the actress was able to effectively showcase the experiences of a neglected child.


One X user laid out all of the reasons why Bettina broke down the way she did, commending Kaila for giving justice to her character's pain.

Netizens also gave Maris Racal, who plays Bettina and Caroline's sister Irene, her flowers. "You can really tell [that] she felt heartbroken like she failed her sister," one wrote.


Cris Villanueva, who plays Bettina's accomplice Manong Ibe, seemed to be proud of their work in the scene. "Kulet nyo, anak ni Janice!" he said on X.

Maris reminded her followers to "check on [their] eldest sisters" like how Irene should've done with Bettina. LOL!

Belle and Kaila had the cutest online interaction, with the former jokingly repeating her "All along, it was you!" line upon learning the truth. Looks like these two are as close as sisters IRL!

The woman of the hour had nothing but gratitude for all of the positive feedback on her performance. "Sorry na rin [peace sign emoji]," she wrote, on behalf of Bettina and her crimes.

The actress also made sure to recognize the exemplary acting of Jana Agoncillo, who portrayed a younger Bettina in flashback scenes.
