Coffee lovers are really winning in 2022 as another international coffee shop is headed to our shores. This time a Japanese coffee shop named Baristart appears to be setting up shop here in the Philippines. Well, at least based on a board-up at the Meridien Tower Two along 26th street in Bonifacio Global City.
What's all the fuss about this new coffee shop in BGC?
Hailing from Hokkaido, Japan's dairy hub, Baristart not only focuses on finding and using the right beans for their drinks but has also extensively researched and understood the different kinds of milk to pair the best milk with the perfect cuppa joe.
As of writing, the coffee shop has yet to announce any opening date or an official menu formally. However, they have teased about bringing over their signature coffee and their Hokkaido Milk Cream Puff. The cream puff has consistently been hailed as one of the best creampuffs in Singapore. But, the Japanese brand is best known for using particular kinds of pasteurized milk from the Jersey and Guernsey cow breeds which are the less common cow breeds due to scarcity of the cows themselves and the milk they produce; these cows also have milk with a higher fat content that leads to a creamier and richer mouth feel perfect for dairy products such as cheese and butter. In terms of coffee, Baristart is known for its use of floral but acidic Arabica beans and their full-bodied, darker Robusta beans.
All this talk about creampuffs, milk, and coffee has us drooling right now, and we're so ready to try this new brand when it opens, but for now, you can follow their Instagram account and Facebook page to learn more.
