Janella Salvador broke her silence amid her controversial remark on the noontime show, It's Showtime. On April 5, 2024, Friday, Janella took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her sincerest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who had been supportive of her. "Oh wow. I’ve been meaning to explain myself because the last thing I would ever want is to appear rude or disrespectful," she began her post.
Janella continued, "And here I am being met with so much love and comfort upon opening this app. Thank you. It makes me happy to know that there are many people out there who know my heart and what I stand for. Hugs of gratitude (from behind)."

In a separate post four hours later, Janella made sure to let netizens know that she has privately made amends with the parties involved. "I have personally apologized for unintentionally offending someone but not for setting a valid boundary. If you twist my words that’s on you," she affirmed. "Don’t you dare try and involve my son."

This response comes after Facebook netizens referenced her controversial remark, after Star Magic announced that Janella's mall show commitments for Under Parallel Skies would be postponed.

On her Instagram Stories, she took the liberty to share that her son Jude has been hospitalized. Her caption read, "Asthma sucks. The past 48 hours have been such a nightmare but I'm positive my brave boy will bounce back stronger than ever in no time."

What happened during Janella Salvador's "It's Showtime" guesting?
In case you missed it, Janella went viral for her brief banter with It's Showtime host and fellow Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu. Some netizens judged Janella's remarks to be rude, while some defended her on social media.
Janella appeared on It's Showtime together with her Thai co-star Win Metawin to promote their romantic-comedy film, Under Parallel Skies.
But later during their segment, one of the hosts, Amy Perez, brought up Janella's upcoming anniversary concert, "Janella: Reimagined," which is set to take place on April 19, 2024, at the New Frontier Theater. The mention of her upcoming concert led Janella to mention her newest single, "headtone."
Then came Kim's request for a little snippet or "sample" of Janella's new song. Janella declined the request because she said she wasn't feeling her best.
"Sample! Sample naman, Janella, sa bago mong song," Kim requested.
"Medyo paos ako today," Janella replied as she held her throat. "Kayo na lang," she added, pointing to Kim and the other hosts.
Kim then addressed the audience, "Ah, pakinggan na lang namin [yung song]" while Darren Espanto interjected, "Sa susunod, mag-prod ka na lang dito sa Showtime."
Janella then promised the hosts and the audience that she will perform for them the next time she's there. "Next time, promise!" she noted.
Netizens react to Janella Salvador's "It's Showtime" appearance
The internet had mixed reactions to what they called Janella and Kim's "awkward" banter. On one hand, some of them thought that Janella was "masungit" for not giving in to their requests for a sample of the song and even making the hosts "do it themselves."

But of course, there were netizens who defended Janella's actions, saying it wasn't rude at all. With their sentiments, the tag "JANELLA GET BEHIND ME," ranked in the topped X trends following her It's Showtime appearance.

Fans have also spotted her Thai co-actor Win liking Janella's recent post on X.
