Artist Deirdre "Dids" Veneracion was one of Preview's cover stars for this year's Pride Month cover, and no one could be prouder than her dad, Ian Veneracion.
The actor, musician, and outdoorsman is a dedicated father to three kids: Draco, Dids, and Duccio. Dids, his only daughter, came out to him as lesbian when she was only 16 years old. Now in her 20s, she is fully owning her identity, and thriving as a musician!

Dids was selected as one of the cover stars for Preview's very own June 2024 cover, which features 32 queer artists who represent breakthroughs in LGBTQIA+ representation and Filipino creativity.
Ian took to his social media platforms to pen a strong message of support for his daughter, hinting at some backlash she may have received for her sexual orientation.
"Seriously, let’s all just cut the bullshit. People should be honored and respected for their compassion, courage, and integrity—not for the choices they make in the privacy of their bedrooms," he wrote.
"Proud of my daughter for embodying these values. Who she loves is her business," he said, signing off the post as "Proud Daddy."
Alongside the message, Ian reposted Dids' portrait for the Preview cover story, lensed by photography duo Cenon at Mav.
