South Korean superstar Hyun Bin recently gave fans a rare glimpse into his personal life, sharing how his wife, actress Son Ye-jin, decided to step back from acting to focus on their family.

Appearing on the variety show Yoo Quiz on the Block, Hyun Bin opened up about Ye-jin’s decision to take a break from her thriving career to care for their two-year-old son. “She must have really wanted to act again after all this time. Watching me act probably made her want to do it even more,” he said. However, she chose to put their family first, with Hyun Bin adding, “As a mom, she had things she needed to take care of, so she endured it patiently.”
Ye-jin, beloved for her roles in Crash Landing on You and Something in the Rain, has been away from the spotlight since the couple got married in 2022 and welcomed their son later that year. Despite her hiatus, Hyun Bin shared that she remained his biggest supporter throughout his own projects. He fondly recalled how she encouraged him after he wrapped filming for his recent movie, Harbin, saying, “You’ve worked hard.”
Now, with their son a little older, Ye-jin is gearing up to make her acting comeback in the thriller No Other Choice. Hyun Bin expressed his happiness for her return to the screen, saying, “Seeing how excited she is for this project makes me feel even happier.”
The actor also shared heartwarming anecdotes about their parenting journey, revealing that their son is fascinated with wheels, especially motorcycles, and enjoys greeting delivery drivers during family walks.
