As fun as a pub crawl might sound, nothing compares to having a night in with your closest girls. A few weeks before she officially became Mrs. Burnand, Preview hosted an intimate gathering for its May cover girl, Georgina Wilson, as she bid adieu to singlehood. Moss Manila’s Cyndi Fernandez takes us through the preparations of the bridal shower, giving us a few pointers on how we can replicate the same eclectic feel of George’s anti-bride bridal shower.

TIP #1: Think “anti-bride”
From the get go, Cyndi and creative director Vince Uy wanted the set-up to veer away from the usual bridal look. This lead to the decision of opting for a darker color scheme in deep reds and greens as opposed to cliché pastels.

TIP #2: Add a touch of home
“We wanted a look that was very relaxed and lived-in to give it an intimate feel,” says Cyndi. She adds, “We wanted it to be a good mix and good composition of things so you’ll find a lot of props and décor scattered through the room.”

TIP #3: Aim for imperfection
Making sure that the set wasn’t too manicured was a big styling note. Take for example the floral arrangements, Cyndi says, “We wanted the flowers sprayed, nothing too manicured.”
