Just recently, the 25-year-old unveiled her official headshot for the competition. Shot by photographer Seven Barretto, Chelsea posted her portrait on Instagram with the caption, "Philippines, let's make it happen!" Styled by Perry Taborra, everything looked on point for the beauty queen, from her makeup by Mickey See, to her slicked back locks by Jerry Javier.
Community Events Chelsea Manalo Attended Before Flying to Mexico for Miss Universe 2024
Since Chelsea was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2024 in May, she's also been out and about serving multiple communities in the country alongside her pageant preparations.
Last Pride Month, Chelsea herself graced the LGBTQIA+ Pride Night organized by LoveYourself.ph to show support and unity for the community. She looked fantastic in a red body-hugging cocktail dress, with her naturally beautiful curls framing her face.
Chelsea was also present during Manila City's Independence Day festivities. She wore a modern Filipiniana terno designed by Manny Halasan, and was dolled up in a clean updo that.
On October 11, 2024, Chelsea already had her send-off party. With the tagline, "Manalo sa Mexico!" Chelsea faced her team, supporters, and the media in a green number by Manny Halasan. In an interview with Dyan Castillejo, she also shared that she did her own makeup with the guidance of her makeup artist, Mickey See.
How Chelsea Manalo Has Been Preparing for Miss Universe 2024
Fun fact: Chelsea disclosed in that same interview that she also has makeup, hairstyling, and of course, pasarela training in between her busy schedule to make sure that she is in tip-top condition for the much awaited competition. She even gave the public a sneak peek into her runway walk in a vlog episode by Empire Philippines. There, you can see how Chelsea has been training to improve her walk by correcting even the tiniest details about it!
Given all the hard work she has already put, Chelsea noted that she's 9 out of 10 prepared for her upcoming bout in Mexico. "I still do feel 9 out of 10. Siguro 'yung 1 percent na lang talaga is leaving that to the Filipino people, the fans, the support, 'coz I know I have a lot but if we all come together not just here in the Philippines but anywhere in the universe na mga Filipinos who will be there to still support me and cheer for me in Mexico, then we will be at our 100 pa not just 10 percent," the beauty queen told Dyan.
