Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards’ Hello, Love, Again has made Philippine cinema history. Just a few days after it overtook Rewind to become the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, it has surpassed yet another milestone.

As per ABS-CBN Films, as of November 23, 2024 the romantic drama has grossed P1.06 billion in the worldwide box office, successfully becoming the very first Pinoy movie to reach the billion-peso mark. Released last November 13, 2024, Hello, Love, Again managed to achieve the feat in just 10 days.

The sequel to the critically acclaimed Hello, Love, Goodbye, it continues the story of Joy and Ethan as they face the trials and tribulations brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic to their struggling relationship. At the onset of its release, the film saw a meteoric rise, grossing P85 million on its launch and making it the highest opening day for a local movie, which was previously held by the 2016 action comedy The Super Parental Guardians.
Lead stars Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards previously expressed their thanks for their project’s success on the noontime variety show ASAP. “Sobra po kaming grateful sa suportang ipinapakita ninyo sa aming pelikula. Maraming maraming salamat po,” said Alden. Kathryn echoed the sentiment, saying, “On behalf of the whole team…taos-puso kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng mga nanood at paulit-ulit na nanood ng Hello, Love, Again. Damang-dama po namin ang inyong pagmamahal at suporta, hindi lang sa Pilipinas pero pati po sa ibang bansa.”

Apart from the local scene, Hello, Love Again, has also broken records abroad. Having shown at the Asian World Film Festival, it achieved the highest opening weekend for a Filipino movie in the United States with $2.4 million, landing itself at no. 8 at the U.S. box office.
The movie spelled magic as well for Kathryn who was awarded her first Hollywood recognition in the same event. The acting icon received the Snow Leopard Rising Star Award while decked in a dreamy, two-piece lace set by Anthony Ramirez.
