Cheesy rom-com, anyone? How about one that stars an Asian-American cast and, more importantly, has style superstar Heart Evangelista making a cameo? Yep, you heard that right!
After appearing on season 3 of Bling Empire, the actress' next international on-screen gig is making a cameo on The Wedding Hustler, an upcoming film written and headlined by Chris Soriano. Also included in the cast is Kane Lim, who previously spilled to Preview that he and Heart shot a movie during her trip to Los Angeles last 2021. We guess this was what he was talking about!
The movie revolves around Chris' dilemma of arranging a surprise wedding for her girlfriend, Hillary. He hires a wedding planner (a hustler, if you will) and also enlists the help of Cam, his best friend played by Kane. In one scene in the trailer, Cam be seen phoning Heart for a bit of gossip and romantic advice. "Love is love. If they really love each other, they'll find a way," she says to Cam.
Also showing up in the movie are a few other Filipino icons: an ube yema cake and a barong tagalog in the (presumably) final wedding scene. Looks like we're going to be full of Pinoy pride from this flick!
