Harvard University’s new free online courses for 2025 are here, adding to its already stacked selection of subjects you can study without paying a peso for Ivy League tuition fees.

You can have access to 122 free online courses on a wide range of subjects such as Art and Design, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Education, Health and Medicine, Humanities, Mathematics, Programming, Science, Social Sciences, and Theology. Many of them are available to take up now.
Notable courses include "Introduction to Cybersecurity," "Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economics," and "The Architectural Imagination." On a less technical end, there are also practical courses on self-development like "Rhetoric: The Art of Persuasive Writing and Public Speaking" and "Leadership: Creating Public Value." There's even a course on the science of cooking!

The courses vary in duration, with some as short as one week and others extending up to 12 weeks. Each one is self-paced, which means you can progress at your own time. Optional paid upgrades are also available for selected courses if you find yourself wanting to learn more about topic.
You can also toggle the filters to find the completely free courses.
How to sign up for free online courses at Harvard University
You can start learning from Harvard’s online courses in just a few clicks. Simply browse through the university's online learning portal, pick a course, and hit “Learn More” to be redirected to Harvard’s edX platform, where the online courses take place.
Before you can enroll in your chosen course, you will be asked to register on edX with your full name, email, public username, password, and country. That's it!
Here is where reality bites: To validate this as a training experience for your resume, you’ll have to pay a fee ranging from U.S. $99 to $299 (P5,660 to P17,100) to get a certificate of completion from Harvard University. It’s regrettably heavy on the wallet, but hey, it’s one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the world we’re talking about here.
Again, you only need to pay if you want a certificate of completion. If you’re just here to learn, you can access most of the courses for free.
