Han So Hee is currently in hot water after announcing her controversial relationship with fellow K-drama actor Ryu Jun Yeol.

Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol Confirm Relationship
The two sparked dating rumors when they were spotted vacationing together in Hawaii last March 14. While Jun Yeol was reported to have broken up with his long-time girlfriend Lee Hye Ri last November 2023, Hye Ri seemingly took a jab at So Hee and Jun Yeol's trip together.
Posting a cryptic Instagram story that expressed how "funny" the situation was, Hye Ri fueled netizens' speculations further when she unfollowed her ex-beau on the social networking app.

So Hee then fired back with an Instagram story of her own, stating that, "I don't like people who have a significant other, I don't lead them on while saying we're just friends, I don't take an interest in them, I don't develop a relationship with them, and I don't get in the way of other people's relationships." While no names were mentioned in either of the Instagram stories, netizens were quick to connect the timing of the posts.

After this exchange, the Gyeongseong Creature lead actress took to her now-deleted blog to address the internet's chatter head on and explain her side. "When we exchanged feelings for one another, it was already the beginning of 2024, and his breakup with that person was already wrapped up in early 2023," she wrote. "I heard that news articles about the breakup came out in November. Based on this fact, I confirmed my own feelings, and I kept going with the relationship." Jun Yeol, on the other hand, has kept mum on the issue, allowing his agency to fully speak on his behalf.
The Public Reacts to Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol's Relationship
Netizens have since cast their judgments on So Hee for allegedly interfering with Jun Yeol and Hye Ri's relationship. Some have likened her to her World of the Marriedcharacter, Yeo Da-kyung, who was a mistress.

But, it seems that folks on the internet aren't the only ones who've taken notice of the situation. In a recent news report, soju brand Chum Churum confirmed that they were no longer continuing their partnership with So Hee. While her contract with the brand was only technically supposed to last eight years before being put up for renewal, this parting of ways is significant as it is the first time that Chum Churum has decided not to extend a celebrity partnership.
ICYDK: In South Korea, ambassadorship for a widely-known soju brand is considered a golden ticket. Prime examples of Korean liquor endorsers include Bae Suzy and IU. A few days after parting ways with So Hee, Chum Churum tapped Queen of Tears actress Kim Ji Won to be their newest endorser.

Aside from Chum Churum, NH Bank has also announced the termination of their contract with So Hee after only a three-year partnership. They've since expressed their intention to connect with a new celebrity endorser.
Amidst these speculations, So Hee's management 9Ato Entertainment clarified that the termination of contracts have been announced before the dating rumors spread. According to the talent agency, the loss of endorsement deals are not because of the issues plaguing the three actors.
