Maybe it's the slow-paced, calming, and relaxed Alabang vibe that makes a visit to Molito Lifestyle Center feel incomplete without caffeinating. You'll see people in the area sipping on a cup of coffee as early as 6 a.m. up until midnight when the barista or the cashier calls for the last orders.
So when your inner voice, or you're coffee-deprived companion, says "Let's get coffee!" but feel a little lost as to which café in Molito to order a cup of joe from, check out this helpful café guide.
LOOK: 6 Coffee Shops in Molito You Should Visit When in Alabang
1. Exchange Alley Coffee House
Ask anyone who frequents Molito, and they'll likely suggest Exchange Alley Coffee House's brews. From the espresso shots, lattes, and cappuccinos, EACH, as the patrons call it, has always had the roasting and brewing of the coffee beans down pat throughout the years. Don't be surprised if people mention non-coffee stuff too, because the café does have excellent soft serve and an A+ grilled cheese sandwich.
Exchange Alley Coffee House is open daily, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit Exchange Alley Coffee House's Instagram page.
2. Group & Boiler
The other no-brainer Molito café option is Group & Boiler. A must-try is their Dirty Spice Latte (P170) which is a joe made with espresso, homemade sweetened milk, and spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, and paprika. Their Iced Matcha Latte (P170) is not as popular, but we do recommend it if this green tea is your preferred caffeinated drink.
Group & Boiler Coffee Co. is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. For more information, visit Group & Boiler Coffee Co.'s Instagram page.
3. Single Origin
Single Origin has good American breakfast options, from fluffy pancakes with thick-cut honey-cured portions of bacon and fried chicken and waffles. You can pair these with their sweeter, milkier coffees such as the Salted Caramel Latte (P200/hot, P230/iced), Creme Brulee (P230), or the Café Con Leche (P270).
Single Origin is open daily, from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. For more information, visit Single Origin's Facebook page.
4. Bungalow Café & Bakery
If your goal is to get a table at this packed café-bakery-restaurant and order their famous doughnuts, cakes, and croissants, it would be an absolute shame to not order coffee on the side. Bungalow's Vietnamese Coffee (P180/hot, P190/iced) is pretty good if you're pairing it with something not that sweet such as the flaky pastries, but do go for something simpler like the Flat White (P160/hot, P170/iced) if ordering a sugary treat.
Bungalow Café & Bakery is open daily, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, visit Bungalow Café & Bakery's Instagram page.
5. Sobra Café
Sure, we can say that Sobra Café started out with long queues because of its owner: David Licauco of Maria Clara at Ibarra, but people do go back for the comfort food, i.e. the bestselling Tapa Sobra. Pair this all-day breakfast bowl with any of their espresso-based beverages such as the Americano (P120), Cappuccino (P140), Caffé Latte (P140), and Mocha (P155).
Sobra Cafe is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit Sobra Café's Instagram page.
6. Starbucks
Starbucks, whether you've outgrown its coffee options or not, is something we're all familiar with. It's still a great and convenient coffee option—comforting even, as you already know exactly what drink to order and which ones to avoid as they're not pleasing to the palate. Not to mention: Four Cheese Flatbread supremacy.
Starbucks Molito is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Sundays. For more information, visit Starbucks' Facebook page.
Molito Lifestyle Center is at Madrigal Avenue, corner Commerce Ave, Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City. For more information, visit Molito Lifestyle Center's Facebook page.
