If you think you can’t propose to the love of your life under a cherry blossom tree here in the Philippines during a pandemic, think again. Sounds farfetched? Well, Aaron Astoveza made it all happen for his now-fiancée Irah Cham, and it turns out all you need is a wide space and a dedicated styling team.
To turn the couple’s special moment from ordinary to downright romantic, events stylist Kyno Kho of Project Art Ph heeded the groom-to-be’s request—a white color palette with rose petals—and created a pure white floral eden in the middle of Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant. “We used artificial cherry blossom flowers for the tree, and a variety of fresh and preserved flowers for the table,” Kyno tells Preview. "We wanted to take advantage of the timeframe of the proposal, so we added lights to our decor for our couple to enjoy the setup both in broad daylight and when the sun sets."
Situated under a skylight roof and sprinkled with gold accents, the classic and elegant indoor garden escape was further decorated with fairy lights, charger plates and, of course, a pool of fresh white rose petals underneath to set the mood. How could anyone say no to this setup?
