Almost every fictional character has been made into Funko pop figurines. We usually see these square-shaped heads and round black eyes inside toy stores and other authorized retailers. Come June, though, you will be able to shop authentic figurines from Funko at another spot in the Metro. Yep, the first-ever Southeast Asian Funko-licensed store is opening in the Philippines.
Funko Is Opening in the Philippines
According to the CEO of Funko, Inc. Cynthia Williams, the Philippines has been one of the global pop culture lifestyle brand's strongest-performing markets in Asia, as well as Filipino fan communities are one of the world's most engaged audiences for Funko-and so really, the licensed store is just a long time coming. "As a global brand, Funko is committed to expanding our presence in the most engaged and fastest-growing fan communities," she said in a release.

The store is opening in SM Mall of Asia in Pasay in partnership with Funtastik Enterprises Corp., and you can expect exclusive product drops and interactive zones. You will find a wide range of their collectibles from entertainment, sports, music franchises, and even anime. There will also be the iconic Funko Pop! line, Bitty Pop!, Loungefly, and Manila-exclusive apparel. Excited? Us, too. It is said to open in June 2025.
"We've seen great success with similar licensed stores in the Middle East, and we're excited to bring that same momentum here. By deepening our local retail footprint and enhancing direct-to-consumer experiences, we're eager to inspire connection, self-expression, and fun for our fans-wherever they are in the world," Williams added.
We have yet to find out the exact location of the store inside the mall, but we're going to keep an eye out and update you ASAP.
