Even Jennifer Garner had something to say!

Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow, star of Shakespeare in Love and the upcoming Timothee Chalamet project Marty Supreme, greeted early risers this morning with a video showing her preparing a #boyfriendbreakfast of pork tocino for partner Brad Falchuk, the TV writer.

Waking up in a matching tiny white tee and shorts, the Hollywood star is shown stretching first in her Montecito kitchen/breakfast room before gathering her ingredients for cauliflower rice, Brad’s requested pairing for his ulam. Gwyneth then proceeds to do some slicing and mincing on an immaculate chopping board, and fetching pork slices from a bowl of dark-ish marinade. A glimpse of the Pork Tocino recipe from the New York Times is shown, which could only mean she’s using beet juice to give her meat that reddish tocino color.

The mom of two grownups also fries some eggs, sunny side up style—but not before picking up an eye serum tube from Goop chilling in her ref, which she then dabs with her fingertips just below her eyes. Goop is the wellness and lifestyle brand she launched in 2008.

Gwyneth’s plated breakfast looks, as many of her followers commented, “Yummy.” Fellow actress Jennifer Garner seems to approve, too: “Ok now, come on,” the actress says on the comments, with a side of heart emoji. “Love this!! Thanks for repping the Philippines,” says a most likely Pinoy fan. Meanwhile, G Tongi sent three Philippine flag icons and three heart emojis.

Of course, there will be Filipino followers with suggestions on how to make this breakfast an even better, or more authentically Pinoy, experience: “It will be super yummy with a tomato and onion salad with spicy vinegar,” one says. “You need garlic rice and vinegar and some tomatoes on the side,” says another. “Tomatoes with salted duck eggs the best!” says yet another. (Wondering how we could send her some from Pateros.)

But if Gwyneth's description of the resulting tocino is to be believed—“sweet, savory and incredibly flavorful”—then she was completely content and happy with her first attempt at cooking the Filipino breakfast dish. We say, "Bigyan ng Oscar!"
