1. Bea Alonzo, Shaina Magdayao, and Yasmien Kurdi
GMA actresses Bea Alonzo and Yasmien Kurdi may bear a striking resemblance to each other, but that’s not where their connection starts. Prior to playing the role of sisters in the Start-Up Philippine adaptation, the two, alongside fellow actress Shaina Magdayao, used to be classmates in high school. But despite their academic ties, Yasmien previously revealed that they would rarely see each other at school, as Bea was under the “home study” program and the three had conflicting schedules.
2. Gabbi Garcia and Julia Barretto
Best friends and Preview cover girls Gabbi Garcia and Julia Barretto have been two peas in a pod even outside of the showbiz scene. The two actresses shared the same classes in St. Paul College in Pasig City, where they were self-professed “partners in crime,” cramming school work together in order to graduate, all while dealing with their hectic schedules.
3. Alden Richards and Juancho Trivino
Before their budding matinee status in GMA, actors Alden Richards and Juancho Triviño were students in De La Salle Canlubang, where they both took the Business Management program. In a previous interview, Juancho revealed that Alden was smart and “very punctual” in class!
4. Claudia Barretto and Juliana Gomez
The young it-girls Claudia Barretto and Juliana Gomez have been best friends since their school days, having been students in Everest Academy Manila. But outside of sharing the same alma mater, the two also had the same knack in academics, as they were both on the school’s honor roll. While they may have parted ways in university, both stars since find ways to reunite amid their packed scheds.
