Favored by celebrities like Sharon Cuneta and Dr. Vicki Belo, Fili Hotel is a homegrown luxury hotel property located at the NUSTAR Resort and Casino in Cebu City. Opened in 2022, not only is it the first upscale hotel property from the Gokongwei family’s Robinsons Land Corporation, it's also the country's first and only 5-star Filipino hotel brand.
Last July 8, the company announced that it is expanding the Fili Hotel brand with the opening of the second property to carry the name inside the 30-hectare Bridgetowne compound that straddles Pasig and Quezon City.

Chad Sotelo, the Senior Vice President and Business Unit General Manager for RLC Residences and Chief Marketing Officer of Robinsons Land, made the announcement at the Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines-San Miguel Corp. economic forum. The hotel executive said the property is targeted to open between late 2025 and the first half of 2026.
Fili Hotel in NUSTAR Cebu has 379 rooms and has sweeping views of Cebu Strait. It is the first to open in the planned multi-hotel integrated casino and resort property in the Queen City of the South.
While the Fili Hotel in Manila will cater mostly to business travelers, Chad noted that the second Fili Hotel will have a view of the Marikina River and will likely have the same number of rooms and will retain the same Filipino-focused design. Although he added that he had yet to see the final approved design, it will be built by RLC through its hospitality arm Robinsons Hotels and Resorts.
“We’re very confident, first and foremost, on Bridgetowne,” Chad said when asked why Fili Hotel will be located away from the usual tourist haunts in Metro Manila. “It’s the only estate that connects Quezon City and Pasig. And if you look at the closest area, the Ortigas central business district, there are not a lot of new hotels aside from our Westin Manila.” ICYDK: the hotel in Ortigas operated by Westin Manila is owned by RLC.
Bridgetowne is located along C5, which also has development projects from Ayala Land Inc. and Eton Properties (Parklinks), and Megaworld’s township Eastwood.
Besides Fili in Cebu and Nustar, RLC’s hospitality subsidiary had 26 hotels as of the end of 2023. This includes 13 Go Hotels, seven Summit Hotels and Resorts, One Grand Summit Hotel, and four international-branded hotels—Westin Manila, Crowne Plaza Galleria, Holiday Inn Galleria, and Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu.
