Now, we know that internet connection has vastly improved in the Philippines in the last few years. Download speeds of 100 Mbps have become more accessible, but even improved internet speeds can’t prevent blind spots and random moments of disconnection.
If you’re ready to pull out your hair because of the slow and unstable internet connection in the Philippines, you might just be desperate enough for internet tourism. People have traveled for crazier reasons, so why not?
According to Cable.co.uk's Broadband Speed League 2022, the destination with the fastest internet in the world is none other than Taiwan. The island nation just a few hours north of the Philippines boasts an average download speed of 135.88 Mbps, which is 13.55 points faster than Japan’s world-famous Internet.
France came in third, followed by the U.S. Aside from Taiwan and Japan, other Asian places made the list, such as Singapore and Hong Kong. Philippine passport holders need a visa for most places on this list, except for Singapore and Hong Kong. So if you’re ever in the area, milk each city’s fast (and free) internet for all its worth.
