Dearest gentle reader, it looks like you've got a new leading lady to look forward to in Season 4 of the Netflix drama Bridgerton. We know you're dying to know more after you binge-watched all of Season 3 earlier this year, so we're raring to give you updates on anything and everything while you patiently wait for the next season.
In a Variety exclusive, it was reported that actress Yerin Ha would take on the role of Sophie Beckett, Benedict Bridgerton's love interest in Season 4 of the series. The upcoming season, helmed by Shonda Rhimes, will explore Benedict's love story, which is based on Julia Quinn's third Bridgerton novel, An Offer From a Gentleman. Luke Thompson is set to reprise his role as Benedict and play alongside Yerin.
Both of Benedict's older and younger brothers are happily married by Season 3, and the more unconventional Benedict thinks very little of tying the know with anyone until he meets a lovely Lady in Silver at his mother's ball.
As of writing, Netflix and Shondaland are yet to make a statement or confirm the casting news. Still, we know you're pretty curious about Yerin Ha, so we rounded some facts about the actress reportedly leading Season 4.

Who Is Yerin Ha? 10 Things About the Rumored New Lead of Bridgerton Season 4
1. Yerin Ha is Australian
Yerin Ha, or Ha Yerin in revised Hangul Romanization, was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
2. Yerin Ha was born in the Year of the Pig and is a Cancer
She was born on June 26, 1995, making her a Cancer born in the Year of the Pig. Other celebrities born in the Year of the Pig are BTS's 95-duo Jimin and V, models Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, singer Dua Lipa, and actor Timothée Chalamet.
3. Yerin Ha was born to Korean parents
Despite being born in Australia, both of Yerin's parents are Korean. In an interview with Vogue Australia, she shared that her parents actually met each other in acting school!

4. Acting runs in the family
Yerin's parents aren't the only ones with acting chops-her grandma's one of the OGs. South Korean actress and politician Son Sook is her grandmother.
"My grandma's an actor and my parents met each other in acting school, so I've always grown up with this knowledge of what theatre and screen are, so that's something I was always interested in," Ha told Vogue Australia.

5. She studied in Seoul and Sydney
Acting is serious business in Yerin's world, so much so that she studied the art in both Seoul, South Korea and Sydney, Australia. Though born and raised in Sydney, Ha auditioned for Kaywon High School of Arts in Seoul and trained for three years starting age 15.
"It was three years of intense training-from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. most days," she told Vogue Australia.
She later went on to study at Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting, with a major in Musical Theatre.

6. She's gotten on stage for a musical
In 2019, Ha played Maurice alongside Mia Wasikowska and Eliza Scanlen in the Sydney Theatre Company production of Lord of the Flies at the Roslyn Packer Theatre. This was her first and only foray into acting onstage.
7. She has several TV shows under her belt
Bridgerton is not Ha's first television project. Prior to the announcement of her casting, Ha made her television debut in 2019 with French-American crime drama series Reef Break and she has since starred in Bad Behaviour, Troppo, and Halo. She has also been casted as young Kasha in 2024 television series Dune: Prophecy, which is currently in production.

8. Yerin Ha used to play MapleStory
Apart from acting, music, and performance, Ha used to play MapleStory growing up, a free-to-play, 2D, massively multiplayer online role-playing game, which was developed by South Korean company Wizet. You might have played it or heard about it in your youth. (Fun fact: BTS' Jin loves this game, too!)
9. Yerin Ha doesn't have any official social media account
We checked high and low, turned every stone, and scoured the internet for any social media footprint sh might have (in case you want to follow her for potential Bridgerton updates!), but the Australian actress currently has no official social media. We're a bit bummed we can't know more about her interests via her posts, but we respect her privacy.

10. She's an advocate of representation in media
Yerin's background and education in two cities played a big part in her journey as an actress, along with the development of her personal ambitions. Her time working with a diverse set of people pushed her to pursue a career trajectory that would enable her to collaborate with "multicultural creative teams and give a face to stories or characters audiences may not be so familiar with."
It's also why she shifted from theater to television work.
"I feel like it hits a bigger platform and a bigger message... it really starts to bubble conversation and through conversation change can slowly be made," Yerin told Vogue Australia.
