Extraordinary Attorney Woo is back on our radars (not that it ever left since we’re still waiting for season two, after all). The breakout 2022 K-drama, which concluded last year, received its flowers a few days ago at the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards.
ICYMI, Yoo In Shik won best director for the show, while Park Eun Bin took home the grand prize before delivering an emotional speech. Naturally, the show and Woo Young-woo herself became a hot topic on Twitter, but it doesn’t end there for fans of the drama.
Recently, a few of the cast members surprised viewers with a brief cameo in Dr. Romantic 3! Ha Yoong Kyung (Choi Su-yeon), Joo Jong Hyuk (Kwon Min-woo), Joo Hyun Young (Dong Geu-ra-mi), Moon Sang Hoon (Kim Jung-hoon), and Im Sung Jae (Kim Min-shik) appeared in a brief sequence for the medical drama’s second episode. The scene, which is currently making rounds on Twitter, has the EAW stars turning in their lawyer hats for a chance at being a doctor at Doldam Hospital.
Head doctor Kim Sa-bu (Han Suk Kyu) interviews the five applicants with each giving their own eccentric responses, to say the least, making us miss all their shenanigans in Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
Jong Hyuk particularly channels “tactician” Min-wook’s sly ways, first pretending to be Sa-bu’s fan before admitting that he’s applying under Sa-bu so he can use the other doctor's name to one day open his own hospital.
In case you were wondering, both Dr. Romantic 3 and Extraordinary Attorney Woo have Yoo In Shik as their directors, which explains the mini crossover. And although Park Eun Bin may have missed the reunion, fans of the show are still hoping that she can also make a guest appearance in the drama’s latter episodes.
The second season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo is reportedly projected to air by 2024 when Kang Tae Oh comes back from the military.
