No stranger to such comments, Xyriel has previously opened up about the struggles of being sexualized as a curvy girl. She even revealed that she had to go to therapy because of people sexualizing her.
"For me, there will be no valid reason para mabastos ang isang tao. Babae ka man o lalaki ka, kahit anong piece of clothing mo, that will never validate someone's disrespect or someone's behavior lalo kung ino-objectify ka," Xyriel continued.
The actress then admitted how affected she is whenever she would hear such comments, mentioning her practice of speaking against people who think that it's okay to sexualize and objectify.

During a one-on-one conversation with Big Brother, Xyriel explained that her outspoken nature is a defense mechanism she had to develop to deal with the bullying she experienced.
Impacted by Xyriel's honesty and bravery, her fellow housemates clapped and cheered after her response to the task.
