If you’re a lurker on social media, chances are you’ve seen the name Fyang populate many a post’s comments section, courtesy of her loyal fanbase. FYI, this rising internet star, named Sofia “Fyang” Smith, emerged the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother’s Gen 11 edition.
After taking home the coveted title with 30.66% of viewer votes, she’s since been featured on the cover of magazines, headlined online news articles, and even walked the Bench Body of Work fashion show alongside the other half of her love team, JM Ibarra.

Who is Fyang Smith?
1. She’s a Taurus
Fyang was born in Laguna on May 14, 2006, meaning she was just 18 years old when she won Pinoy Big Brother. She soon grew to become a city girl who now resides in Mandaluyong.
2. She’s a hard worker
Before earning her nationwide fame on mainstream TV, Fyang thrived online as a social media influencer. At 16, she began her journey as a content creator to help her family make ends meet. Establishing a fanbase early on before her PBB stint helped her garner enough votes to survive seven nominations and eventually win the reality show.
3. She graduated a salutatorian
Speaking of hard work, Fyang is a stickler for high grades, so much so that she studied well enough to graduate a salutatorian in elementary school. She told ABS-CBN News, "No'ng time na 'yon, big deal sa akin ang grades ko. Ayaw kong magka-line of eight, gusto ko lahat ng nasa card ko line of nine. And na-achieve naman po 'yun.”
4. She’s currently being homeschooled
The PBB winner is currently a 12th grade student. As she starts out her showbiz career, she’s also making sure her studies aren’t left behind. In order to do both, she’s on a homeschool program and has decided to align herself with the Accountancy, Business, and Management strand.
5. She dreams of becoming a surgeon
Although she’s currently studying business and also has her sights set on the entertainment industry, Fyang’s lifelong dream is to actually become a surgeon. This ambition of hers started when she helped a pig give birth at her aunt’s piggery. "That time, ang sarap sa kamay! Ang sarap sa feeling magpaanak ng baboy,” she expressed, recalling having used her bare hands to pull a piglet out from its mother’s womb.
6. She’s a shoe fanatic and a perfume collector
A certified sneakerhead, Fyang especially loves collecting Nike Jordan shoes. Apart from always wanting to get her hands on the coolest kicks, Fyang also has a passion for perfumes. In an interview for PBB, she shared that she can’t be without her go-to scents of which eagle-eyed netizens have ID’ed as the Zara Go Fruity and the Versace Dylan Purple.
7. She’s a simple eater
Having grown up with ulam from the sari-sari store or sometimes even just salt, Fyang’s palate isn’t hard to please. Despite her newfound fame, she remains to be a simple eater who only needs her favorite dried fish to be happy.
8. She has numerous tattoos
Fyang’s all tatted up with ink on her arms, neck, and even her lower back where her biggest tattoo is located. Some of the images she has on her skin include a lily, butterflies and a moon as an ode to her late grandmother, and the numerical birthdays of three people close to her heart.
9. She’s a fast sleeper
Asked to list down some fun facts about her, Fyang mentioned that she can fall asleep instantly. It doesn’t matter when or where because she’s out like a light as long as she feels comfortable.
