Another Filipina is making her name in the K-pop realm! After a successful stint in the Korean survival show Universe Ticket, the 14-year-old star Elisia Parmisano has officially secured a spot to debut in an upcoming girl group.

Like a lot of K-pop idols, Elisia trained young in the industry. She entered the Universe Ticket competition at 14 years old, born on April 18, 2009–making her a headstrong Aries!

3. Elisia Parmisano is the first official member of the “Universe Ticket” girl group.
The young contestant is named the first member of the upcoming K-pop girl group formed on the SBS survival show Universe Ticket. In the series, 82 trainees from across the globe vie to debut, where they compete in several missions.
With eight spots in the future girl group, Elisia was chosen as the first member. Contestants are sorted into five levels for their performance score and fan votes–P, R, I, S, M–with “P” as the highest. Elisia was guaranteed a spot in the group after she reached “P” a week before the show’s finale!
4. Elisia Parmisano is one among three Filipina trainees in “Universe Ticket.”
It isn’t only Elisia who’s bearing the Philippine flag on the survival show. Among the other Filipina trainees include Gehlee Dangca, a 16-year-old contestant from Las Piñas, who is ranked second.
Meanwhile, Korean-Filipina Jin Hyeongju is also a debut hopeful in Universe Ticket, ranking in the 10th spot. She’s currently a member of the group Cignature, and previously joined the survival show The Unit, where she ranked 24th.
Half-Filipino and half-Japanese trainee Aya Natsumi also competed in the series, however she was earlier eliminated in the sixth episode.
5. Elisia Parmisano used to star in an ABS-CBN teleserye.
Prior to her venture into the Korean entertainment industry, Elisia already had her start in Philippine showbiz as a child star. In 2019, the then-10-year-old actress starred in a guest role in the ABS-CBN series Nang Ngumiti ang Langit, which she co-starred with Sophia Reola, Cristine Reyes, RK Bagatsing, Enzo Pineda, and Shaina Magdayao. Elisia even trained under Star Magic!
6. Elisia Parmisano was congratulated by several Filipino celebrities.
Due to her foray into local showbiz, it isn’t a surprise that she already rubbed elbows with Filipino household names. After her sure win in Universe Ticket, congratulatory messages poured in for the star. This included “Asia’s Songbird” Regine Velasquez, who posted an adorable throwback of her and Elisia over on Instagram, and commented by celebrity doctor Vicki Belo.
“This little girl is all grown up now and making a name for [herself] in the K-pop world [smile emoji],” the veteran singer wrote. “Congratulations Elisia we are very proud of you [heart emoji].”
“OMG MIRACLE,” Dr. Vicki Belo replied. “All your hard work and sacrifice is paying [off].”
Aside from Regine, Elisia also received warm well wishes from primetime queen Marian Rivera.
“Hi Elisia, congratulations! Ipagpatuloy mo ang pangarap na 'yan, at marami ka pang magagawa at mararating,” the actress said on her Instagram Story. “God bless you more! We’re so proud of you.”
7. Elisia Parmisano is related to another idol.
It seems that talent runs in Elisia’s family, too! The soon-to-be idol is related to another star, Marcus Cabais of the Filipino South Korea-based boy group HORI7ON. In an Instagram post, Elisia called him her “pogiest twin cousin.”
8. Elisia Parmisano has several talents.
Aside from her prowess in singing and dancing, Elisia also boasts other talents under her belt. The performer took taekwondo in her younger years, which she documented on her YouTube channel. She also has an affinity for the visual arts with an interest in graphic design. Her sketchbook is one of her trusty must-haves!

Elisia joins the growing ranks of Filipino stars in the K-pop scene. Her sure debut happens a few months after Sophia Laforteza, who, too, became the first member of her own group with Hybe Labels and Geffen Records’ KATSEYE, after competing in The Debut: Dream Academy.
