The globally celebrated Miss Universe pageant returns this Sunday, November 17 (Philippine time), with its 73rd annual run to take place in Mexico City. This year’s edition is expected to be its biggest yet, featuring a record-breaking 130 contestants vying for the coveted Miss Universe crown—including the Philippines’ very own Chelsea Manalo.
How to Watch the 2024 Miss Universe Coronation Night
After the preliminary round on November 14 (Thursday)—November 15 in Philippine time—the much-anticipated coronation is slated for November 16 (Saturday). Viewers in the Philippines can catch it live on November 17 (Sunday) at 9 a.m. via the official Miss Universe YouTube channel, as well as on ABS-CBN platforms like A2Z Channel 11, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, and iWantTFC.
This year’s pageant makes history with its largest number of contenders, including newcomers from countries like Belarus, Eritrea, Guinea, Iran, Macau, Maldives, Mayotte, Moldova, North Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan. From the roster of 130 beauty queens, 12 will advance to the swimsuit segment, and only five will remain for the final question-and-answer portion until one candidate is ultimately crowned as Miss Universe 2024.
Moreover, this year marks the second consecutive edition where the Miss Universe organization has lifted its restrictions on age, height, and weight—continuing its push for inclusivity among pageant contestants.
