In the nature of many K-dramas, viewers of The Atypical Family are swooning over a romance unfolding on the screen. However, this time around, its source isn’t limited to the main leads, as the young love story of Bok In-a and Han Jun-woo has caught everyone’s attention.
What You Need to Know About Bok In-a and Han Jun-woo in “The Atypical Family”
Played by child actors Park So Yi and Moon Woo Jin, fans of The Atypical Family have gravitated towards the puppy romance, sprinkled with the series’ superpowered element. Twelve-year-old Park So Yi plays the shy middle-schooler Bok In-a, the daughter of Jang Ki Yong’s Bok Gwi-ju.

After a chance meeting, the school’s resident heartthrob Han Jun-woo (played by Moon Woo Jin) becomes intrigued with his schoolmate. In-a, who’s descended from a family that each possessed a superpower, gets her confirmation when she accidentally reads Jun-woo’s thoughts after a brief exchange of eye contact.

The sixth episode further confirmed this, when Jun-woo outright confessed his feelings for In-a. Of course, not all is smooth sailing, when their schoolmate Goh Hye-Rim (Kim Soo In) is vying for Jun-woo’s attention, too.
Park So Yi’s Previous K-Dramas
While everyone’s caught in the storm of butterflies of In-a and Jun-woo’s blossoming love, viewers may have also noticed their actors’ familiar faces. Both the stars boast a packed filmography at their young ages, as they’ve appeared in several famous K-dramas and films before their stint in The Atypical Family.
Born in 2012, Park So Yi made her television debut in 2018’s Mistress, which starred the likes of Han Ga In and Shin Hyun Been. The child actress has since then appeared in a myriad of dramas throughout her career, most notably as the younger versions of characters.
In 2019, So Yi starred in Her Private Life as the young Sung Deok-mi, who is portrayed by Park Min Young in her adult years.

She also played the younger version of Go Ara in 2020’s Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, a young Kim Go Eun in 2022’s Little Women, and a young Shin Hye Sun in 2023’s See You in My 19th Life.

So Yi filled the shoes of supporting roles in dramas like Law School (2021) and High Class (2021).

Aside from the small screen, the young actress has also made a name for herself in the film scene with movies like Deliver Us from Evil (2020) and Pawn (2020). In 2023, she bagged the Best Youth Actor and Actress award for Revenant at the SBS Drama Awards.
